Position Overview

RM Champagne Salon & Nellcôte is in search of a talented and entrepreneurial-minded General Manager to lead the charge alongside our current management & chef team. He/she must have the ability to think independently and creatively as well as drive sales effectively using the resources available to him/her whilst always keeping the overall brand in mind. This person will champion the venue's fun and vibrant culture, bringing a "better every day" approach to building the team.

Job Responsibilities & Job Duties

  • Lead and work alongside the entire management and chef team to effectively operate the business.
  • Ensure all attend to the highest of standards for personnel performance and customer service.
  • Effectively schedule, manage, & run shifts. 
  • Manage the hiring of intellectually curious individuals that will contribute positively to every shift, day, and initiative.
  • Assist in developing, planning and carrying out marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns.
  • Adhere to budgets.
  • Development of management team.

What Your Background Looks Like

  • Must love this industry and love people.
  • Must have at least 5+ years managing a high volume, high energy concept. 2+ years as a General Manager.
  • Experience as a Service Manager.
  • Have exceptionally strong knowledge of standard service points for food and beverage service.
  • Comfortable managing a transition of concepts within one space involving high-end restaurant service to high energy nightlife.
  • Must enjoy leading and coaching a team.
  • Have strong knowledge of liquor, beer, & wine. Knowledge of Champagne & Sparkling wine is a plus.
  • Have experience working multiple positions in a restaurant.
  • Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
  • Have the confidence to present ideas and to stand behind them.
  • Have humility to have ideas overruled and to endorse others' ideas or directions. Humility to learn every day from every individual.
  • Bring a challenge (problem/issue) with a corresponding solution.
  • Experience with planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service & satisfaction, quality of food & beverage, cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Have a 'roll up your sleeves' & 'I'll do whatever it takes to get it done' attitude.
