Assistant General Manager - RM Champagne Salon

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Element Collective (elementcollective.com) is in search of a talented and entrepreneurial-minded Assistant General Manager to lead the charge at RM Champagne Salon.  He/she must have the ability to think independently and creatively, and has to ability to drive sales using campaigns he/she tailors to the concept.  All while keeping the overall brand in mind. This person will champion the venue's fun and vibrant culture - bringing a "better every day" approach to building the team and brand. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO EVERY DAY:

Work alongside the General Manager and Executive Chef to run the business.
Support the managing of hiring intellectually curious individuals that will contribute positively to every shift, day and initiative.
Propose and create initiatives spanning from marketing, advertising and promotions all the way to new floor plans, service approach, helping ownership spec amenities (A/V, patio, etc) and assist with venue design.
Develop, plan and carry out bar marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns.
Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.
Work with partners to create and subsequently adhere to budgets.
Establish and ensure all attend to the highest of standards for personnel performance and customer service.

WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND LOOKS LIKE

Must like this industry.  Must have fun and like people.
Must have at least 2 years managing a high energy concept involving over 5+ servers on the floor at a time/6 door hosts/door staff at a time.
Comfortable managing a transition of concepts within one space involving high-end restaurant service to high energy night life & DJ entertainment.
Must enjoy leading a team, building/improving people.
Have exceptionally strong knowledge of standard service points for food and beverage service.
Have strong knowledge of beer, specialty cocktails and wine - willingness to improve knowledge daily in all areas.
Have strong training abilities for all aspects of the venue.
Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
Have a "hands-on" approach to management, not afraid of approaching tables nor getting to know customers.  The Manager should be a "FOH" manager, not one who manages from the office.
Be optimistic with a consistently positive attitude.
Have the confidence to present ideas and to stand behind them.
Have humility to have ideas overruled and to endorse others' ideas or directions, humility to learn every day- from every individual.
Have incredible passion for the business, actually enjoy what you are doing day-to-day enough to contribute positively
Bring a challenge (problem/issue) with a corresponding solution
Have the ability to oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, drink quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
Have a "roll up your sleeves" & "I'll do whatever it takes to get it done" attitude.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE: Comprehensive compensation package including base salary, quarterly bonus, medical and dental benefits, participation in the Element Collective 401(k) Program, generous comp package usable throughout the group, and a monthly cell phone stipend.
